Cambridge Union Society

The Cambridge Union is the oldest debating society in the world, and is a unique forum for the free exchange of ideas and the art of public debate.

Not only has it cleaned B&Q out of its global supply of wood panelling for the next 400 years, it has hosted some reasonably important people, from Winston Churchill and Theodore Roosevelt to the current Dalai Lama, Richard Dawkins and Sir Ian McKellen.

About time we added Headcase to that list

This was a fantastic evening, with a great turnout and level of engagement.

Most shocking to me, was the huge number of students presenting with mental health difficulties, and the lack of knowledge they had about symptoms, who to talk to, or how to deal with them.

On a positive note, just standing there and talking for an hour and half made a real, almost immediate difference to many of those present, and feedback after the event was amazing.

So. Onwards, to do more to spread the word and help more people to look after their heads.
